Now, this article should call for everyone's name because if you drive a lot your pockets are probably hurting with how much you spend on fuel. In this article, we will go through the different ways you can improve your fuel economy.

Only pack the essentials

It sounds strange, right? how loaded your car is making a massive difference in your fuel consumption it may not seem like it but the car needs to use more power to move because of the added weight. Making sure you only carry what you need in your car is crucial, will save you a fair amount of fuel and make your car much more agile.

Check Tyre Pressure

We said it before and we'll say it again make sure your Tyre pressure is correct in all of your Tyre's, not only it is quite dangerous to drive with low Tyre pressure, it will also cause your car to be much heavier than normal as it has to carry a car with Tyre's that have low pressure. Making sure your tyres are at the correct Tyre pressure will save you some money.

Observe Your Speed

The way you drive has to biggest impact on how much fuel you are going to burn, if you drive without accelerating rapidly and breaking sharply, you will be able to keep more momentum with your car, meaning much less stop and start, improving your fuel economy greatly.

Use Cruise Control

Using cruise control will help you and your fuel tank out tremendously, when you are driving on the motorway, put the car on cruise control, it will mean you can relax your feet, and the car will keep going at a constant speed saving you fuel. Mainly because most people keep speeding up and slowing down on the motorway.

Avoid Air Conditioning

Avoiding air conditioning when it is not needed is probably the biggest fuel money saver. Air conditioning takes power straight from your engine, meaning the engine needs to supply itself with more fuel to keep supplying the air conditioning. Only try using air conditioning when you are too hot or too cold, if the temperature in your car in bearable switch your air conditioning off and save on fuel!

Drive-In Highest Gear

Whenever possible you should drive in the highest gear possible, of course, keeping to your speed limits. Driving in high gear will mean your car will be running on lower engine revs, meaning the engine has much less stress put on it, which means it will use less fuel during your journeys.

Combine Journeys

Combining journeys whenever you can save you a lot of money on fuel, your engine will be using much less fuel when its warm and ready. If you do many short journeys you will burn through a lot of fuel as your engine keeps having to stop and start warming all of the components from cold, whereas if you combine your journeys you will save on fuel bills!
